Based in Germany, Robert Reichle has been a vice president and senior portfolio manager at Berenberg since 2010. He manages global bonds and institutional mandates using a macro, fundamental and benchmark-aware investment approach. Prior to joining Berenberg, he was a senior strategist and portfolio manager at Payden & Rygel Ltd in Los Angeles. He studied economics at the University of Ulm and the University of Paris I (la Sorbonne). His interests outside of fund management include tennis, soccer, skiing, chess and music.
The fund invests at least 51% in fixed-income transferable securities and money market instruments of states, companies and credit institutions not denominated in Euro. The investment strategy of the Investment Fund primarily provides for investments in liquid bonds denominated in currencies outside the eurozone. The issuers of securities typically originate from countries with favourable macroeconomic data, e.g. in terms of national debt, inflation or economic output. Extreme exchange-rate fluctuations may be hedged temporarily at the discretion of Fund management. The fund currency is the Euro.
